Dr. Young Shin received her dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2013 in Detroit, MI. She completed the General Practice Residency at the Flushing Hospital Medical Center in 2019 in Queens, NY. Dr. Shin also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a second Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
She was a clinical instructor in the Restorative Department and a preceptor in the Pediatric Department in dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
In addition to practicing general dentistry, she is heavily experienced in pediatric dentistry and served as a school dentist and an associate dentist at a pediatric dental office for a number of years. Outside of work, Dr. Shin enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family. She and her husband recently welcomed a daughter. She is fluent in Korean.
